Castle of If facing Marseille

Marseille, in the south of France, is the second largest city after Paris. The old town and its old port are dominated by Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde basilica.
The castle of If, is a fortress built under Francois 1st (1527-1529). It was a prison for 400 years.
The pointu is a traditional mediterranean boat of the south of France. From 1880 to 1967, it was used by fishermen mainly for net fishing.

The nuclear powered Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier is part of french navy. The Dassault Aviation's Rafale is a combat aircraft. The military port of Toulon, is a french naval base, it houses among others the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle.

Free mooring in the bay of Antibes

Regatta in front of the royal fort
