Hyènes à l'affut

La hyène à un aspect trapu, avec l'arrière train plus bas que l'avant. Dans une meute la femelle est dominante, cette domination féminine est héréditaire

Acquerello su carta di iene maculate  mentre inseguono la preda. Il suo grido simile a una risata signala mostra che a trovato cibo. La iena ha un aspetto tozzo, con i quarti posteriori più bassi di quelli anteriori. In un branco la femmina è dominante, questa dominazione feminile è ereditaria.

Sternes arctiques

 

Watercolor on paper of arctics terns. In summer, it is found along the coasts of the northern hemisphere, in the subantartic regions in winter.
Seagulls are often found in their company, to take advantage of their potection from predators. The terns have sentinels who watch the colony, when an intruders is reported all the colony takes off and attacks the intruder.
In summer, the arctic tern stays close to the Arctic regions, later it flyes south, crossing large ocean areas to reach southern Africa,  Australia and Antarctica. It flies for 4 months making a return trip of  35000 kms. Its migration road follow the ocean, providing it with food along the way. 
It is a gregarious bird and the wedding parade is very elaborate. Once united the couple is faithfull, they mate each year at the same place near the sea. Two eggs give birth to chicks which will be quickly independant.

Les goélands et les mouettes sont souvent trouvés en leur compagnie, pour profiter de leur protection contre les prédateurs. Les sternes ont des sentinelles qui surveillent la colonie, quand un intrus est signalé toute la colonie décolle et attaque l'intrus.
En été, la sterne arctique reste près des régions arctiques, plus tard elle s'envole vers le sud, elle traverse de larges étendues océaniques pour rejoindre l'Afrique australe, l'Australie et l'Antarctique. Elle vole pendant 4 mois réalisant un aller-retour de 35000 kilomètres. Sa route migratoire suit l'océan, lui fournissant de la nourriture tout au long du trajet.
C'est un oiseau grégaire et la parade nuptiale est très élaborée. Une fois unit le couple est fidèles, elles s'accouplent chaque année au même endroit près de la mer. Deux oeufs donnent naissance aux poussins qui seront rapidement indépendants.

Gabbiani sono spesso trovati in loro compagnia, per approfittare delle loro protezione dai predatori. Le sterne hanno sentinelle che sorvegliano la colonia, quando un intruso viene segnalato l'intera colonia decolla e attacca l'intruso.
In estate, la sterne artica rimane vicino alle regioni artiche, più tardi si vola verso sud, attraversa ampie distese oceaniche per raggiungere l'Africa australe, l'Australia e l'Antartide. Ha volato per 4 mesi realizando faccendo un viaggio di andata e ritorno di  35000 chilometri. La sua rotta migratoria segue l'oceano, fornendogli cibo lungo il percorso.
E un uccello gregario e il corteggiamento è molto elaborato. Una volta unita la coppia è fedele, si accoppiano ogni anno nello stesso luogo  vicino al mare. Due uova danno alla luce i pulcini che saranno rapidamente independenti.

Tournepierre à collier

Watercolor on paper of necklace turnstone The ruddy turnstone is a bird of the northern hemisphers. It is stocky and short on legs. It is a coastal bird, but it chooses the tundra of the Arctic regions for the nesting period. It is a migratory bird, it can fly as far as tropical Africa. Its name is relative to the fact that it turns stones, algae to find its food, its diet is composed of crustaceans, molluscs and marine worms hidden in the sand.

Aquarelle sur papier de tournepierres à collier. Le tournepierre est un oiseau de l'hémisphère nord. Il est trapu et court sur pattes.  C'est un oiseau côtier, mais il choisit la toundra des régions arctique pour la période de nidification. C'est un oiseau migrateur, il peut voler jusqu'en Afrique tropicale. Son nom est relatif au fait qu'il retourne les pierres et les algues pour trouver sa nourriture, son régime est composé de crustacés, de mollusques et de vers marins cachés dans le sable.

Acquerello su carta di voltapietre a collare. Il voltapietre è un uccello dell'emisfero nord. E tozzo e corto sulle zampe. E un uccello costiero, ma sceglie la tundra delle regioni artiche per il periodo di nidicazione. E un uccello migratore, puo volare fino all'Africa tropicale. Il suo nome è relativo al fatto che gira le pietre e le alghe per trovare il suo cibo, la sua dieta è composta da crostacei, molluschi e vermi marini nascosti nella sabbia.

                                     

Cormorans huppés

Watercolor on paper of crested cormoran. It is found exclusively on rocky coasts, islands and islets near coasts. The cormoran crested is one of the kings of the underwater fishing, it dives up to 10 meters of depth. Gregarious bird, it fishes in group, it moves in line or in circle before diving. Its plumage is not waterproof, after fishing its not uncommon to see it flyes close to the water because of the excess of weight of its wet body. To dry, it spreads its wings. Its food consists of sprats, a specie close to herring.

Aquarelle sur papier de cormoran huppé. On le trouve exclusivement sur les côtes rocheuses, les îles et les îlots près des côtes. Le cormoran huppé est l'un des rois de la pêche sous-marine, il plonge jusqu'à 10 mètres de profondeur. Oiseau grégaire, il pêche en groupe, il se déplace en ligne ou en cercle avant de plonger. Son plumage n'est pas imperméable, après la pêche il n'est pas rare de le voir voler au ras de l'eau en raison de l'excès de poids de son corps mouillé. Pour sécher, il deploie ses ailes. Sa nourriture est composée  de sprats, une espèce proche du hareng.

Si trova esclusivamente su coste rocciose,  isole e isolloti vicino alla costa.  L'elegante cormorano è uno dei re della pesca subacquea, si immerge fino a 10 metri de profondità. Uccello gregario, pesca in gruppo, si muova in lineo o in cerchio prima di immergersi.
Il suo piumaggio non è impermeabile, dopo la pesca non è raro vederlo volare a contatto con l'acqua a causa del peso in eccesso del suo corpo bagnato. Per asciugare, sposta le sue ali. Il suo cibo è composto da spratti, una specie vicina all'aringa.

Guillemot de Troïl

Watercolor on paper of a murre of troïl. The murre of troïl is a northern pelagic bird. It lives in high seas and settles in rocky areas to reproduce. It is a gegarious bird, they form important groups in search for food, they dive together essentially in schools of fish. It flight is made of small fast flapping wings.

Aquarelle sur papier de guillemot de troïl. Le guillemot de troïl est un oiseau pélagique septentrional. Il vit en haute mer et s'installe dans des zones rocheuses pour se reproduire. C'est un oiseau grégaire, ils forment des groupes importants à la recherche de nourriture, ils plongent ensemble essentiellement dans les bancs de poissons.  Son vol est fait de petits battements d'ailes rapides.

Acquerello su carta di un guillemot di troil. Il guillemot di troil è un uccello settentrionale pelagico. Vive in alto mare e si trasferisce in zone rocciose per riprodursi. E un uccello gregario, formano importanti gruppi alla ricerca di cibo, si immergono insieme essenzialmente nei banchi di pesci. Il suo volo è fatto di piccoli battiti d'ali veloci.

Phaéton à bec jaune

Watercolor on paper of a yellow-billed tropicbird. Yellow-billed tropicbird is the smallest and most graceful of the seabird. It is immaculate white except for an inverted small black comma at eye level and on each side of its long pointed wings two wide black bands. His long wings offer a very good aerodinamics at sea. Duing its flight, the phaeton sings a kind of a ke, ke ke. It catches its prey in flight, it feeds on flying fish, squids and crustaceans. In nuptial period, it makes acrobatic flights very gracious. It is a pelagic bird of the tropics, the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans.

Aquarelle sur papier d'un phaéton à bec jaune. Le phaéton à bec jaune est le plus petit et le plus gracieux des oiseaux marins. Il est blanc immaculé excepter pour une virgule noire inversée au niveau de ses yeux et sur chaque côté de ses longues ailes pointues deux larges bandes noires. Ses longues ailes lui offrent un très bon aérodynamisme en mer. Pendant son vol, le phaéton chante une sorte de ke, ke, ke. Il attrape ses proies en vol, il se nourrit de poissons volants, de calmars et de crustacés. En période nuptiale il effectue des vols acrobatiques très gracieux. C'est un oiseau pélagique des zones tropicales, des océans pacifique, indien et atlantique.

Acquerello su carta di un phaeton dal becco giallo. Il phaeton dal becco giallo è il più piccolo e il più grazioso degli uccelli marini. E bianco immacolato trane per una virgola  nera invertita al livello degli occhi e su ogni lato delle sue lunghe ali appuntite due larghe bande nere. Le sue lunghe ali gli offrono un'ottima aerodinamica in mare. Durante il suo volo, il phaeton canta una sorta di ke, ke, ke. Cattura le sue prede in volo, si nutre di pesci volanti, di calamari e crostacei. Nel periodo nuziale, effettua voli acrobatici molto gaziosi. E un uccello pelagico delle zone tropicali, degli oceani pacifico, indiano e atlantico.
