Il est commun aux océans atlantiques, pacifique , indien et la mer méditérannée, il préfère les eaux tempérées. Il peut mesurer jusqu'à 2,60 mètres et peser jusqu'à 150 kg. Il vit approximativement 75 ans. Il pêche la nuit par écholocation à plus de 200 mètres de profondeur, les petits poissons. C'est un poisson social et sociable. Il aime accompagner les bateaux.

The blue dolphin is so named because of the three blue bands starting from its eye and extending on its flanks. It is common to the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian oceans and Mediterranean sea, it prefers temperate waters. It can measure up to 8,53 feets and weigh up to 330 pounds. It lives approximately 75 years. It fishes at night by echolocation to over 656 feets deep, small fishes. It is a social and sociable fish. It likes to accompany boats.
